Plum Sorbet

Aleisha heard about this amazing recipe a few weeks ago, and ever since we have been obsessed. We aren’t even sure if we would call it a recipe, it is only two ingredients – frozen plums, and cream. The result is creamy, tangy and refreshing plum sorbet which is the perfect summer treat. Not that you can tell from the taste, but this is a pretty healthy sweet treat, with only one tablespoon of cream between four servings. Don’t believe us how good it is? You have got to try this one yourself.

The most important thing is to freeze the plums a day in advance. We use a large tin of black doris plums, but this will work with any type of plum. Make sure to remove the stones, and put the plums into a container or snap-lock bag and into the freezer.

  • 1 tin (850g) plums, frozen
  • 1 tablespoon cream

  1. Remove frozen plums from freezer and place in blender or mixer. Mix until smooth
  2. Add cream and keep blending until desired consistency. You can add more or less cream to adjust the creaminess

Seriously, that’s it! Told you it was that simple. Enjoy your guilt-free summer treat!
